Robotics and automation

Our specialism is designing and building bespoke robotic systems from the ground up. With particular expertise in mathematical modelling, mechanical design optimisation, real-time software and complex asynchronous systems, we apply a rigorous engineering process that ensures our solutions are performant, robust and a joy to use.

We have experience developing robotic vehicles, manipulators, advanced end-of-arm-tools and support equipment for a variety of demanding environments.

We have developed numerous low-level vision systems for different applications. For new projects, this experience allows us to discern between the vast array of off-the-shelf machine vision components and develop targeted bespoke systems if necessary.

The versatility and increasing capability of machine vision combined with its reducing cost make cameras some of our favourite sensors to work with.

We are experienced in mechanical, electrical and software interfacing with off-the-shelf elements and existing infrastructure to ensure safety, functionality and an optimal user experience.

We are used to managing large and complex systems, employing model-based systems engineering (MBSE) techniques and other tools such as interface control documents and  failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA) to maintain robust performance.
